The Heritage Week Celebrations continued with our High School saluting the history of Jamaica through music, dance and fashion. Joining the celebrations were International Reggae Icon Freddie McGregor, JCDC Gospel Song Winner Jerome Smith, Hillel String Ensemble, GQ plus Friends and Granny, the Inspiration Dancers and the Ensemble Singers. A fashion show displaying clothing throughout the 50 years since Independence was the highlight of the celebrations. Student, Craig Powe told the school why he was proud to be Jamaican, and a rollicking crowd of students, teachers and parents appreciated the performances, and the event concluded with the National Anthem. Congratulations to Mrs. Grant, Miss. Francis and the committee for a great event!!
